Original Russian Gzhel Pottery Large Round Serving Dish *Holiday*.

The tray is 0.8 inch high, 11.5 inch in diameter.

Author Chudnova, item has Author sign Has the factory logo on the bottom and authors sign on the face.

Hand-made and hand-painted.

Underglaze Cobalt.

Gzhel is the name of the village 32 km from Moscow. This name is also applied to the beautiful artistic porcelain ware made there, painted with cobalt on a white background. The first written mention of Gzhel dates back to 1339, and from the 1770-80s, Gzhel had become the centre of artistic majolica manufacture in Russia.
