Capacity is 200 ml. 6 Saucers - 5.8 inch in diameter.Sugar Bowl - 3.8 inch high (without cover), 5.2 inch high with cover; 4.8 inch in diameter at the bottom, 3.8 inch in diameter at the top. Creamer - 4.1 inch high (without cover), 3.4 inch in max diameter.Each one has the factory logo and authors sign on the bottom.
Gzhel is the name of a village in Moscow Region, about 32 miles south-east from Moscow. This name is also applied to the beautiful artistic porcelain ware made there, painted with cobalt on a white background. The first written source about Gzhel dates back to 1339, and from the 1770-80s, Gzhel has become the centre of artistic majolica manufacture in Russia.
