The pot is - 3.4 inch high, 5.2 inch high with cover, 4.5 inch in diameter.

Has the factory logo on the bottom.

Gzhel is the name of a village in Moscow Region, about 32 miles south-east from Moscow. This name is also applied to the beautiful artistic porcelain ware made there, painted with cobalt on a white background. The first written source about Gzhel dates back to 1339, and from the 1770-80s, Gzhel has become the centre of artistic majolica manufacture in Russia.
